Elgurn is primarily an agriculture world as stated but being the system capitol it also houses a large Imperial Garrison, after the world was liberated during the great crusade by the 7th Legion they left 2 companies as a garrison. while not stationed on Elgurn it was decided the Astartes Garrison should be stationed on the outer planets in order to shield Elgurn from invasion. History
Pre-Compliance
Prior to compliance Eglurn considered themselves leaders politically within the sub sector and had good relationships through trade with many other systems. Always looking for new trade partners to grow their own economy often provided resources and services to systems in war with each other and were able to tread the fine line to maximize their own benefits.
Having mining operations on other planets within the system Eglurn were able to keep their own home world a safe pleasant place and avoid major environmental issues faced by many other industrialized planets of the time.
Compliance
Being located off the major warp lanes used by the invading forces of the empire Elgurn was aware of the outcome of those who resisted compliance. As such while not happy with it they accepted compliance without fighting. Many of their reach trading partners from other systems which destroyed were given refuge on Elgurn those increasing their connections and ability for trade after compliances.
Post Compliance
Elgurn has always been able to grow with due to their trading abilities and the need for resources for the Great Crusade was a benefit for the system. With Cambrius being made sub sector capital post compliance due to its location near all major warp lanes within the sector Eglurn adapted and benefited from being out of the spot light. The mining world Vosculia was also used as a weapons research and forge world to take advantage of the new opportunities compliance provided.
This allowed when Horus first rebelled to provide resources to legions from both sides for their own benefit. The Imperial Fist had always had a presence within the system using nearby Iaethea as a base of operations within the sector. While both the Emperors Children and Iron Warriors have used Elgurn as a source secretly for resources. Until now Elgurn has being able to manage these relationships secretly. But that is all about the change....
