A fecund water-world with densely populated islands, fiercely volcanic micro-continents, and numerous floating city-ships.
Population
The last census before the Heresy had the planetary population at over 500 million. This number was considerably lower, afterward.
History
Since the larger landmasses on Fuschal were violently unstable, the burgeoning population crowded onto the tiny atolls elsewhere on the planet, or built vast floating factory-ships rivaling small hives, to criss-cross the world-ocean and gather up the schools of fish and plankton from its endless bounty. The protein-rich comestibles thus produced were a valuable resource for the Crusade fleets, and less fortunate worlds in neighboring systems.
