Battle Summary

The forces of the Dark Angels stationed near Manufactorum NH-PEP: 758-H6 catch up on a secure transmission on a disused Legion channel in the nearby swamplands. Recent reports of workers dissapearing and Mechanicum outposts going silent means infiltration attempts from a Traitor Legion is suspected.

The Praetor in charge orders a retaliation cadre organized and with the help of a Knight House a formidable force is organized. Arriving at a burned out control tower their fears are realised as the Alpha Legion are in the process of escaping with an unearthed cogitator core. The attack is ordered and battle is joined with the Knights and heavy support elements of the Dark Angels trading shots with Tactical Squad elements of the Alpha Legion that quickly start retreating.

A lone Terminator squad of Alpha Legionaries does not retreat however and instead advance on the combined might of the first Legion and a Knight House, led by a mysterious warrior a head larger than his brothers. Alpharius leads the charge! The Dark Angelas realise the danger they are in and focus all their fire power on the Primarchs bodyguard, slaying them all in a single volley. The knights then charge in and manage to knock the demi-god unconscious!

Despite their leader being captured the Alpha Legion still manages to escape with the cogitator core and the skirmish ends with both sides capturing a vital objective.
