Battle Summary

Cautious of the emboldened Synod forces from the previous phase of the war, both Traitors and Loyalists played a far more defensive tactic then either of them had for a long time. Unwilling to leave rear territories undefended and ensuring that there were strong mobile reserve forces ready to deploy at a moments notice, both factions offensive ventures were limited and probing.

Having taken less losses during the rad bombardment of Dur-Kazit, the Loyalists took the first step and re-secured their hold over the Knight worlds, completely dominating Kych and making significant advances into the flooded world of Cipaar. While still reeling from the massive loss of troops the Traitors none the less made some attempts to consolidate their holdings with a couple of light sorties into Loyalist held areas, this allowed them to secure Nypour but they were unable to do the same to Uruq with the Loyalists gaining an equal foothold on the Hive world. With both factions fleet in a defensive role around Baylon and Laigach]] there was little naval conflict.

Although attacks were expected, the Synod made none, instead reinforcing those territories they still have sympathisers who took up arms, attempting to resist the inevitable take over by the Imperials, Warmaster or Emperor, it makes little difference to them.
