Briefing

A senior officer of the World Eaters detachment L-XII-3140 has been captured by the Loyalist forces during an engagement on the Fortress World of Dur-Kazit. The Traitors intelligence cadre has discovered the location of the facility he is being held in but only have a limited window in which to execute a rescue operation. It is vital that the Praetor is extracted as quickly as possible as it is highly likely that the Loyalist command will interrogate and latter execute him.

Battle Summary

A Rescue Operation to recover a captured World Eaters Praetor.

With the Traitors Warmaster also in danger, little priority was given over to the retrieval of this officer. A single sortie by the World Eaters themselves went unsupported by their faction and was doomed to failure well before the warriors of the XIIth fell to loyalist gunfire. Having been tortured for weeks and giving up what intelligence he had, the World Eaters Praetor was confirmed to have been executed at the hands of an Imperial Fist commander.
