History

Even though the planet has a pleasant and breathable atmosphere, very little else about it lends itself to practical use within the Imperium. The gravity is exceptionally high, there is a complete lack of valuable resources, the landmass is made up of soil unfit for building any large or permanent structures and there is next to no plant growth planet wide. Without the ability to grow, mine, or settle on the planet it had been discarded as a viable planet for Imperial use until it was suggested by an unknown Administratum supervisor to use the world as commemorative cemetery for war heroes from the Great Crusade in this Sector.

Seeing the potential for additional Imperial funding the Sub-Sector Governor sponsored the idea and rallied support for its implementation before the Adminitratum fleet left the System, after which, such applications and decisions could take decades if not centuries to be processed.
