Population

With over 10 billion inhabitants spread across nine Hive Cities and dozens of outlying support hab cities from the planets pre Imperial existance, Betalis IV is by far the most heavily populated planet in the System. Although the population is slowly increasing, it is not the rapid growth which the other two Hive Worlds are experiencing due to the Migration Treaties, however there is a significant portion of those migrants diverted to the capital world in order to support its impressive military output.

History

Betalis IV, an Industrial World with billions of loyal subjects of the Emperor, has been a member planet in the Hawcinus Sub-Sector since before the dark times that swallowed this Sector. When the crusade reached this planet to liberate it, it was found to have weathered the times alone and prospered. Betalis IV has a highly trained military and production capacity at full strength to fuel their ongoing wars. After the crusade swept past Betalis IV, it became an important planet in the sector, providing the crusade with local troops to draw from, and great quantities of war material.

Already the System has sent a dozen regiments to the front lines of the Crusade and even more into their own Sub-Sector to help quell and control Xenos forces and potential rebellion. The current focus of the military operations are, however, the growing threat from Ork kingdom worlds in the far Rimward edge of the Sub-Sector, previously thought to be broken by the Expeditionary fleets who passed through so many years ago.
