Savage Reach

Chrondor was a system wealthy beyond measure. Totally self sufficient far past the point of surplus, it exported everything from foodstuffs to battle tanks. This one way trade brought in vast sums of money, and those in charge were rich beyond even the highest standards of Imperial Nobility.

Surviving the isolation of the Age of Strife relatively unscathed, due to both the self sufficiency noted above, and a vast, well equipped, military, when it was rediscovered by the Imperium during the great crusade Chrondor was quick to see the benefits compliance could bring the system.

The systems manufacturing output soon made it a hugely important system for the Imperium, and it had added vast fleets and massive garrison armies to the systems already significant defences during the great crusade. When the heresy occurred, by fate or blind luck, the Warmaster had failed to install any forces loyal to him in the systems defence forces, and the system had never wavered in it's loyalty to the Emperor and Terra. Their vast trading empire depended on it after all and they couldn't let the credits stop flowing.....
