The New Order
The Coru’Quar System is a small solar system that is a far distance from any large Imperial system or sector. Two ships discovered the Coru’Quar System a few thousand years before the beginning of the Horus Heresy. The Coru’Quar system is composed of its sun, four planets and one dwarf planet, and is completely surrounded by an asteroid field. Three of the four planets are inhabitable, but the second and the dwarf planet are not capable of supporting life.
Coru’Quar I is the largest planet in the system, and is the capital planet, where the Coru’Quar Republic and its Senate is located. Coru’Quar I has the largest population of all the planets, and has the most cities. Coru’Quar I provides no major resources for the system, other then aesthetic items, such as clothes and furniture. Coru’Quar I has a similar climate of Ancient Terra, very seasonal, but is mostly covered by cities. Where there are no cities, the environment is usually wooded or grass plains.
Coru’Quar II is the uninhabitable planet in the system. The gas giant is the third largest planet in the Coru’Quar system. It provides no major resources for its fellow planets because of its lack of population.
Coru’Quar III is the second largest planet of the Coru’Quar system and is an agri-world, and as such provides most of the food for the inhabitants of the system. It only has one continent, which is completely covered by grassy plains and flat lands.
Coru’Quar IV is the smallest planet in the system outside of the dwarf planet, but some would argue it is the most powerful. This snow-covered world provides the Coru’Quar system with its weapons, metals, vehicles and military. There are only two major human inhabited areas and that is the military base on the northern continent and the Forge City on the southern.
When the system was first colonized, being so far from any other Imperial systems they formed their own government, which was then named the Coru’Quar Republic, although they still obeyed the Imperial Truth. Each city on each world would have one seat on the Coru’Quar Senate, where the Governor would have too pass any new laws or agree too any acts through. Since the captains of the two ships were considered the founders of the system, most people greet or say goodbye to friends with the phrase ‘may the Two watch over you’. Some powerful individuals (called Channellers) can channel the energy of the spirits of the Two, and these are made the leaders of military groups, but are also very wise, and they advise the Governor on decisions he is going too make. Until very recently, the people of the Coru’Quar system have been peaceful, and have had no conflict.
Just before the outbreak of the Horus Heresy, one Channeller, a young man by the name of Kyros V’Ren, who was the leader of the military forces of Coru’Quar, grew weary of the capitalist lifestyle the people had grown accustomed too, saying the Two were fighters, and that they would want too fight and die for a cause, rather then lounging around, not standing for anything. Too start with, the Chancellor and the Channellers just ignored him, but Kyros rallied the best of the warriors on Coru’Quar IV, who he named Storm Warriors, and committed mass genocide, wiping out the other Channellers and the soldiers that were not loyal too him, and then headed his forces too Coru’Quar III, where he easily defeated the small garrison of troops there and stopped food imports too Coru’Quar I. Worrying for the safety of the people of the system, the Governor got the last few surviving Channellers too send a psychic message too the Imperium, calling for aid. By then, it was too late. By this time, the Horus Heresy had begun.
Rallying all of his Storm Warriors, Kyros launched a spearhead attack on Coru’Quar I, where he swiftly destroyed most of the garrison of soldiers by crashing one of the military fleets smaller transporters into the barracks on Coru’Quar I. He and his forces then landed at the door of the Senate, where Kyros and his best soldiers stormed the Governors office, where he killed all of the surviving Channellers, and then publicly threw the Governor out of the window of his office, which was fifty-five levels above the ground, killing him. He then proclaimed himself the leader of the New Order, which will pour all it’s resources into the construction of more weapons and vehicles and ships, so they can conquer more planets, for themselves. By this time the psychic message had reached the Imperium and a fleet of Ultramarine ships had formed up just outside the Coru’Quar System’s asteroid belt, and were preparing an attack too crush the uprising. However, unbeknownst too the Ultramarine Praetor, who was leader of the strike force, his forces had been infiltrated by Alpha Legion Space Marines, who had even infiltrated his personal retinue.
As the Ultramarines moved through the asteroid field, and prepared too engage the New Order’s fleet, the Alpha Legion Marines revealed their true colors, and the Alpha Legion soldier who was part of the Ultramarine Praetor’s retinue, impaled said Ultramarine on the shaft of the Battle Standard he was carrying. The Ultramarine forces were in disarray, giving the New Order the advantage they needed. Their ships concentrated fire on the Ultramarine capital ship, causing severe damage too it. As if that wasn’t enough, a small Alpha Legion fleet appeared, aiding their brothers and (unwittingly) the New Order. The Ultramarine fleet lost quite a few ships, and the surviving ones fled. The capital ship, which was crippled, had it’s warp drive engine damaged, and was stuck in between the Alpha Legion and New Order fleets, which were relatively unscathed. Both enemy parties proceeded too board the Ultramarine ship, wiping out any survivors. The leader of the Alpha Legion fleet and Kyros V’Ren meet on the bridge of the Ultramarine ship, were the Alpha Legion Praetor informed Kyros V’Ren of the events that had occurred, and that the Ultramarines that had attacked him were still loyal too the Emperor, while they, the Alpha Legion, fought under the banner of Horus, and who had aided them in their fight. Convinced of the Traitor cause, Kyros pledged the New Order too Horus, and said that he could call upon his army whenever he was needed. Kyros would say true too his word, although they were ultimately out for themselves.
The Alpha Legion then left the system, and Kyros begun mustering his army. Any young children or babies were taken from their families, too begin training as Storm Warriors, and women were set too continue the production of crops and other food for the New Orders troopers. Any sick or elderly were killed, as they were considered too be useless. The Mechanicum priests then made the few remaining men into servitors too begin construction of more vehicles and weapons.
After a decade of constructing and building, Kyros’s New Order was truly a force too be reckoned with. He and most of his army left the Coru’Quar system, the last small portion remained too advise the servitors as they begun construction on a colossal space station…
Military Ranking System of the New Order

New Order Vehicles
The New Order often uses vehicles of their own design over regular Imperial-regulated vehicles. They still employ a few kinds of vehicles they deem ‘successful’ such as Malcadors, Baneblades and their variants etc. For their own vehicles, they usually take the concept of an existing Imperial vehicle and improve upon it. Here is a list of a few Imperial to New Order vehicle conversions.
Warhound Scout Titan = AE-HAW (All Environment-Heavy Assault Walker)
Arvus Lighter = New Order Landing Shuttle
Lightning Strike Fighter = TSE Fighter (Twin Solar Engine Fighter)
Channellers once served as the guardians of Coru’Quar, watching over it, aiding it, whether politically or through battle and maintaining peace and justice. The Channellers are humans that are born on one of Coru’Quar’s worlds that have a divine, spiritual connection to the spirits of the two Rogue Traders that discovered and founded the culture of the Coru’Quar system, and can draw upon that power to perform incredible feats of agility and strength. Despite this, Channellers are not soldiers, and if Coru’Quar was ever attacked, there would not be enough Channellers to stop the enemy. This is why the Storm Warriors were founded. For every 10,000 people born on one of Coru’Quar’s planets, only one has the enhanced connection to the spirits of the Two. However, for every of those five who have the connection, only one passes the trials to become a Channeller. Also, only Channellers have the ability to master the art of light blade weapon training, as the weapon requires deep concentration and focus, a level of which can only be gained by using the power of the Two. Thus making light blade fighting an exhausting fighting style to the newer Channellers. Although the Channellers are powerful, they cannot hold out indefinitely against swarms of enemies. Kyros V’Ren, being a Channeller, knew that, and once he had managed to take over leadership of Coru’Quar’s military, that the Storm Warriors would destroy the Channellers not by skill, but by numbers.
The Storm Warriors are the main fighting force of the New Order, and originally were the fighting force of the Coru’Quar Republic. Commissioned early on into the creation of the Coru’Quar Republic, the Storm Warrior military was made to defend the Coru’Quar system from invaders, because there were simply not enough Channellers to defend the planets. The Storm Warriors were originally going to be clones of Channellers, but the cloning technology used was taken from an extinct Xenos race, on an uncharted planet, and all results to clone the Channellers ended in disgusting mutations. As this might be considered heresy, the government covered this up. Eventually, the Storm Warriors ended up getting taken from their parents as babies, were they grew up in the Storm Corps training program. They were split into squads from indoctrination, and as such their roles would be pre-determined. If they needed more pilots, the new recruits would be trained as pilots. Some individuals who showed great talent were taken from their squads to be trained as Squad Leaders, Officers and Commanders. A very small number were made Generals, an even smaller percentage became fleet Admirals, controlling entire star cruisers. Once Kyros V’Ren became clear on his ideal that the Republic of Coru’Quar was not standing to the ways of the Two he made a petition to allow Channellers positions in the military and senate, if they wished. Many people thought this wise, always wondering why such powerful individuals would not take positions in the military and political leadership, and agreed to it. In the end, 69.3% of the people of Coru’Quar’s worlds agreed, and Kyros joined the military in a new rank: Supreme Commander, leader over the entire Storm Warrior army. He then started persuading his men of the corruption of the Channellers and the government, and slowly began fueling the Storm Warriors with something too strive toward, the destruction of the Channellers. When the day finally came, the Storm Warriors struck with a hatred that had been building for many years now, and attacked with a brutal efficiency, using everything at their disposal to destroy Channellers. No Channellers were left alive, the fury and numbers of the Storm Warriors were unparalleled.
History of the New Orders Knights During the Rise of the New Order, as it came to be known, the Mechanicum forces based at the Forge City on Coru’Quar IV were quick to ally themselves with Kyros V’Ren and the New Order, and with them stood the Knights of House Loryn. Well, most of them. While the majority of the New Order were taking over Coru’Quar I and attacking the Channellers, the Knights remained stationed at the Forge City of Coru’Quar IV’s southern continent. A respected Knight Scion by the name of Sir Garon ‘Darkness Bane’ Orios rose up, and lead a rebellion of Imperial Knights that stood with the Channellers against their fellow Knights. A small civil war insured on the southern continent, Knights clashing against warriors they once considered brothers. They clashed for many days, the New Order being unable to assist due to their assault on Coru’Quar I. However, on the sixth and final day of conflict, a Knight-Lancer from the New Order managed to break through the weakening defenses of the rebel Knights, and charged Sir Garon’s flank, burying his lance deep through the back of Garon’s Gallant, severely damaging it. Garon turned to face his opponent, but the Lancer swung his lance in a swirling arc, and decapitated Garon’s Knight. The Gallant swung around blindly, firing its weapons in random directions. The Lancer ended the rebellion right there and then as he rammed his lance into the center of the blinded Knight, and proceeded to rip it in two. Any other remaining Knights renounced their loyalty to the Rebellion or were destroyed from the overwhelming amount of loyalist Knights. Despite the fact the rebellion was crushed, so was the Household. A large majority of the Household Knights were destroyed, and much of the Forge City was damaged and many of its inhabitants were killed. The Mechanicum priests informed Kyros V’Ren that they would be unable to create new Knight suits until the city and its facilities were repaired. Kyros V’Ren informed them that a more powerful force was to be created, and that the amount of Knights they had currently would do for foreseeable future, and instructed them to start creating Servitors to focus on there new task.
Organization of the New Orders Knights After the rebellion of Sir Garon, Kyros V’Ren announced to the surviving Knights of House Loryn that a change was upon them. They would not be receiving new Knights to bolster their ranks, and that they would be stripped of their names, and instead be replaced by ID codes, and that they would simply be called ‘New Order Knights’ rather then Knights of House Loryn. They would have Identification Codes based on NOK and then a three to four digit number.
Knights were then deployed in specific patterns depending on the mission.
Scout Pattern Formations 2 Knights of Varying Rank
Support Pattern Formations 1 Command Knight and 2-4 other Knights
Assault Pattern Formation 1 Command Knight and 5+ other Knights.

General Keers. Tank Commander, Military Genius and Heavy Tank Specialist. His modified Shadowsword has seen more combat then some Legion Marines, having been onboard the Two's original Rogue Trader fleet.
Commander Appo. Storm Warrior Commander, and leaded the Storm Warrior Assault on the Channellers. Loyal to a fault, would take a bolt or laser for his leader.
