History

The warband known as the Niflungar has had a short history prior to the battle on Prospero. Formed from the depleted remnants of a couple different warbands after battles forgotten and far away from the light of the fledgling Imperium. They quickly carved a name for themselves as hunters and experts at lighting raids.

With the mustering of the Censure Fleet, the Niflungar prepared themselves for a fight like few others.

Under their current Lord, Sigmundr, the warband fell to the surface with the Wolf Lord in the first wave. On the cutting edge they bloodied the streets with the blood of the Spireguard. Fighting through buildings, alleys, streets and parks they made their way to the Acropolis Magna with Russ. The fight inside was bloody and the Niflungar lost many of their number. But the resistance broke and the survivors fled, many warbands in pursuit not least Sigmundr and his men.

Soon after the hunt, the warband made its way back to Tizca. Upon their return the Thousand Sons had made their appearance and were a bushing the Rout out of nowhere.
