History

176th company was originally formed to be use for boarding and breaching actions that were deemed too dangerous. Linked heavily with the mechanicum they search to find STC fragments to further the power of the Imperium. They have a perfect success rate prior to the disappearance and suspected death of their praetor and half of the company when the space hulk they boarded re entered the warp with those on board.

The hulk in question was a half score of smaller vessels all showing death guard livery. Early scans of the hulk showed no life signs on board. Reports from the terra show these same vessels in active and health duty. Due to the sensitivity of the mission Marcelo took the lead. Soon after landing their feed went dead and before a swift reaction force could be raised the hulk re-entered the warp.

The company is primarily equip with tactical dreadnought armour and only now after the atrocity have they brought in a higher number of power armoured marines to make up for the loss. Originally, the company was entirely veterans but to return to a battle ready company have enlisted the use of tactical marines. Phalanx warders are ever present on board the Honour Incarnate. With out definitive leadership Consul Delegatus Philipe the pious was entrusted the company by Dorn to continue their work with the mechanicum to search hulks and suspected harborers of ancient tech.
