History
Hephaestus is an Armoured Strike Force specifically formed to deal whith high-level threds through the use of heavy tanks, heavy armoured transports and heavy infantry. The force is often joined by knights (usually freeblades) who provide critical manoeuvrability to the otherwise ponderous advance. Mechanicum units are also a frequent sight. Hephaestus has a history of frequent victories, especially against the hated World Eaters and the Dark Mechanicum, but has found themselves a nemesis in the sinister Death Guards.
Hephaestus is led by the able terran veteran Ken Chie, a masterful tactician and accomplished swordsman, though his command is frequently overridden by Autek Mor who has taken a liking to the force's capabilities. He is oft seen leading the charge from a Spartan, accompanied by numerous Cataphractii terminators. Castrmen Orth is also a familiar face, even more so than Mor, as his unmatched skills as tank commander is put to full use in one of Hephaestus's numerous Sicaran Tanks or it's dedicated Fellblade, Erinyes.
