History
Not all of the Death Guard betrayed upon Istvaan III were crushed beneath their primarch's heel. Section Leader Crysos Morturg and Marshal Ardek Sorgan managed to escape the world with a shattered handful of bitter, vengeful remnants of the compliance force. After a blind jump, they stumbled upon an XIV Legion frigate, the Ire of Barbarus, becalmed en route to the Istvaan system. Captained by Lieutenant Dran Korzag, a Terran, the crew of the Ire sadly had little trouble believing the tale of their Legion's fall. Before long, the Ire found its way to the Golloch cluster, and wasted little time setting upon the betrayers.
