History
24th Chapter, 4th company, the 4th Strike Talon, has a long and proud history. It’s beginning can be found on Terra itself and the Unification wars and they was there at the Great Crusade, often fighting alongside the Sons of Horus until they reunited with Corvus. As with many Terran born, the 24th was placed on less glorious positions but as they adapted to many of the new legions tactics they still was with the main legion for the continuation of the crusade.
They often stood in reserve, or was placed in the heavy assaults were their heavy equipment and skill with it was of great use. But overall they had a position in the background and such was also their lot at Istvaan.
The position held was in the rear of the Raven Guards primary drop zone, and when the betrayal came and the traitors showed their true colors, they was in a position to get out between the Night Lords and the Word Bearers, getting away with a relative light losses and with the aid of a detachment of Iron Hands they got into space and away from Istvaan V aboard a bulk transport. With the artificers that was part of the Iron Hands contingent and the vast armories aboard the transport the talon could rebuild and make itself into an effective force that set out to avenge the massacre and return to their adopted home, Deliverance.
