History
Ve'kell was born in Themis and was one of the first to be inducted into the legion from Nocturne after the arrival of the Emperor. A master artisan crafting his own armour and favourite weapons a inferno pistol and a prestigious thunder hammer. He fought many battles by Vulkan's side during the crusade earning him the recognition of his primach, Vulkan promoted Ve'kell to praetor and commander of a 14th company task force leading them on a cleansing campaign of xenos in dense jungle and void assaults.
Under Ve'kell the campaign burned aside all xenos resistance, his use of flamer and Pyroclast units to strike behind his enemies to drive them towards his main force to be crushed gained them the name the Fire Anvils.
Brelzrios
one of the survivors of the Tempest Galleries, he performed a number of heroic feasts during the great crusade even before Vulkan had been found and many more once his gene farther had been found, but it would be in a confrontation with dusk wraiths that would see this mighty warrior fall. Brelzrios was known for his resilience and ferocity in close combat, he challenged an pirate lord to single combat and was ambushed by incubi in an attempt to allow their lord to escape. this did not go well for the dusk wraiths, they were slaughtered and Brelzrios caught up with the pirate lord and strangled the life from him but not before he was repeatedly stabbed by poison blades by the pirate lord. having heard of his plight Vulkan had him interred into a mighty Leviathan so he could continue to serve his legion.
Drenos
Drenos was a son of a tribal king from Hesiod an honour that made him proud,he lived amongst the people of Nocturne as much as he could. Drenos was the epitome of the Promethean creed and it was this self sacrifice that would save the lives of 400 civilians when he alone stemmed the tide of an orc mob from savaging a hive tower. this act of self reliance and sacrifice would earn him interment into a sarcophagus after falling to a War boss two weeks later. within the month Drenos was back to fighting in his new metal body and would have revenge on the one who crippled his mortal body
Start of the heresy Isstvan V
The Fire Anvils answered their fathers call to arms against hours and the traitors, although they were far on the fringes of the crusade making they would miss the initial drop onto Isstvan V they would act as a relief force and to void assault fleeing traitor ships. Upon their arrival the great betrayal was clear, they arrived amongst the chaos taking for immediately from death guard and night lords ships. Ve'kell was outraged at what he was seeing on the tactical bellow, seeing no choice he launched a two pronged attack.
Launching all the troop carrying ships he had stripped of all cargo he sent the to evacuate as many as he could hoping he could reach Vulkan, while persecuting a void war allowing a many battered loyalist ships to jump out of system. Of the 34 ships that were launched only 26 made it back carrying wounded beyond their capacity, the worst was yet to come. Hearing of their fathers fate those forces fighting aboard traitor vessels pressed harder burning a hole on the traitors line. Their battle barge had taken a battering its shields burnt out and its weapons capacitors on the verge of overloading, Ve'kell gave the order to withdraw and one his men were back on board they limped from the system heading to a known Forge world.
