Battle Summary
The planet of Iaethea had seen some minor battles since the breaking of war within the Elgurn System. The Imperial Fist had called on other legions to try and stop the traitors before the system burned. In this regards a company of Dark Angles had also set up base in Iaethea nearby to the base of the 501st Battalion 4th Siege Company Imperial Fist force.
The initial traitors to start the war within Elgurn being the 17th Company of the Emperors Children had also teamed up with some Iron Warriors and laid siege to the bases on Iaethea.
The loyal Legions were aware of the impending attack but were unable to prepare enough before the traitors attacked. Tacking out some major units from the Loyal legions were about to fully prepare their defenses. The fire power of the Iron Warriors combined with the swift movement of the Emperors Children kept the loyal legions on the back foot.
When the Xiphon Interceptor, Storm Eagle and some Land Speeders hit from the flanks things looked lost. Both the transports of the Loyal Legions leaders were destroyed and both the Imperial Fist and Dark Angles lost their leaders to the over whelming fire of the Iron Warriors.
With the late arrival of the Fire Raptor Gunship for the Dark Angles looking to turn the tide back towards the Loyal Legions the agility of the Xiphon and skill of its pilot resulted in no damage allowing all but a few of the ground forces being left on the battle field before the Imperial Fist and Dark Angels retreated to fight another day.
