Northwest 30K

Welcome to the Northwest 30K, Legions United 2018 Campaign Series

This year, NW 30K will be expanding the organized, narrative gaming for 30K enthusiasts. On top of the regular tournament series, we are kicking off a narrative storyline that allows participants anywhere in the world to play games and still contribute to the overarching story.

The Campaign is intended to emphasize these aspects of Heresy gaming:

• Painting stunning armies and taking brilliant pics of in-game action
• Playing games that have a visceral, relevant feel & sharing your batreps with participants
• Letting the events on the table & across multiple games contribute to an evolving plot culminating to a cataclysmic finale that shakes the Imperium to its core or thereabouts

How does it work?

You play games. You tell us the results. (Hopefully sharing some great pics & stories.) We tally up the victories and advance the story, i.e. with either the Loyalists or Traitors gaining the upper hand, setting the tone for the next round of games.

Play Tournament Games

Play in NW Legion United 30K Gaming Events: As in previous years, we’re scheduling tourney events, roughly every other month, from May to September. These games will be themed according to the campaign and mark significant & decisive actions by the warring factions.

Play Local Games

Play in your basement, LGS, public libraries, kitchen table, coffee house, local bar, massage parlor, wherever. Each campaign round will include a mission pack but they aren’t required. You can play standard AoD games, those found in the various Forgeworld Campaign books, etc.

As we’re able, we’re going to make best attempts at weekly/bi-weekly gaming nights at MOB Games in Lake Stephens and Heroic Knight in Issaquah and other LGS about the greater Seattle area.

Forge the Goddamned Narrative!

Tell us your stories. Though not mandatory, it’s strongly recommended that you play the same Faction and Legion/Army throughout the campaign. Develop the character of your warlord and their contribution to the action.

Kick-off week, May 7th – watch this page for the materials mentioned above.

What do you we need from you?

Just play games and report the results. You can do so here in the FB Group, IM any of us on the team, etc.

But don’t I need to send you a list or something?

Tournament games will require a static list of a set size for that particular event, but games played locally can be any size, shape or style.

What’s in it for me?

Prize support! For those of you in the great American Northwest, as with past gaming events, we’re keeping the emphasis on the painting/hobby. For the broader campaign, we’re adding prize support for the narrative in-game pics and batreps as well.

Prizes awarded at each event will continue as in previous years. After each event, we’ll look back at the pics, reports, etc. and select the best for additional prizes (more details to follow). Prizes will be judged & awarded by the campaign organizers, (see below).
