A typical Agri plot being harvested in preparation for food distribution

Summary

Early on in the planets development into a industrilised power house the aristocracy and ruling class of Savage quickly identified the need to maintain dedicated agrilcutural sections to feed the growing population. Through the use a century long study of the planets resources and capaicities, an ideal equilibirum was calculated in order to find the optimum population which encompassed food growth capabilities and maximised production outputs.

The purpose of these comprises in production expansion was to ensure that the planet remained completely self sufficient and not reliant upon an external source of food to support an over population. While this original setup worked perfectly for centuries, the promotion to Sub-Sector Governor inticed the ruling class to increase their population base in order to expand production output, relying on seqeustered food from system which they now had administrative control over; never anticipating a civil war. Now the fragile equilibrium has been broken and with war raging on the surface the Agri Plots are working at maximum capacity to produce enough food stuff for the immediate Hab Districts as supply lines have been severed, without this food production Foor Riots are never far off.

Effects

Strategic Victory Points: 2 SVP per Turn

Global: While a faction has this location secured, roll 1D6 at the start of each Strategic Phase to determine whether a Hab District has a Food Riot. If the roll is a 1-4 and the corresponding Hab District is controlled by the opposing faction it is effected by riots and the faction must assign an army to the location or lose control. A roll of a 5-6 has no result.

Local: No fortifications can be used for battles conducted at this location.
