The entire AUS30K website revolves around two main items; Armies and Reports; the armies represent represent the forces which the players use on a regular basis while the Reports represent the games played by those players and their impacts on the in game universe.

There are three levels of Reports, each one providing greater levels of depth in regards to fluff and story, with all of them linking to the armies involved and providing influence over the planets which they are played on.

Skirmish Reports

This is the base line report which all players can make. It contains little to no fluff and is primarily focused on the aspects of the game played; who defeated who on behalf of which faction. It is normally the winners responsiblity to lodge the Skirmish report, to prevent double ups, however if only one player is using the AUS30K system then the opponent can still lodge the report and use a placeholder name for their opponent.

When submitting Skirmish reports under the Global Heresy the player only needs to enter the following pieces of information:
Date: The date on which the game took place (this will be converted to the 30K date format automatically)
Victors Faction: The faction for which the Victor was fighting for, i.e Loyalist, Traitor, Ork etc
Victor: The Army ID of the winner Defeated: The Army ID of the loser

If the report is being submitted against a Local System then some additional pieces of information need to be added:
Planet: The details of the planet where the fight took place, these can be left blank but will not contribute towards Influence over a planet. By default a Skirmish will only ever add a single (1) point of influence.

In both cases there is also a Draw indicator, defaultly set to No (n), in the rare circumstances that the game was a draw this can be changed to Yes (y) to indicate a drawn game.

Battle Reports

The Battle Reports are the most common form of report and the most flexible, they can be used to report a casual game for two players in the garage all the way up to a 20 players club day. These reports are designed to add fluff and story to the universe and as such they contribute more Influence for a factions ownership of the planet which the report is based on. The reports not only list the players armies involved, but contains area for a summary of the battle which took place, the ability to upload photos of the games, maps of the battle lines etc.
The main difference between the Skirmish and the Battle is that a Battle can contain more than two players, it contains fluff/narrative and it does not (directly) effect the armies Summary of Opponents statistics. However the Battle Reports have the ability to allow Skirmish Reports to be created within them so that the players can ensure that their armies Summary stats are updated from the games played, again this is the responsibility of the players involved if they wish to have their Skirmish Reports created. A Battle Report is also worth five (5) influence points against the target planet, which is in addition to any Skirmish Reports as well.
For games which were more than just two players, it is recomended that a single person be in charge of creating the Battle Report, often the person who organised the event and kept records as they will need everyones Army ID's and the overall results.

Campaign Reports

The final type of report is for Campaigns; these are reserved for very well orgnised games, something like an ongoing Club Slow Grow League or a major event at a convention etc. They are always based around a planet not currently targeted by the Global Heresy, often creating a new planet specifcally for the event. These reports should contain a high level of fluff and story along with photos and links to really enahnce the in game universe. Similar to Battle Reports, a Campaign can have not only Skirmish Reports created within them, but they can also contain multiple Battle Reports to represent different stages of the Campaign or different rounds of the event. They add a considerable amount of influence towards a planet (15 points!) which is in addition to both Battle Reports and Skirmish Reports which can be created within it.
In addition all armies involved in a Campaign will have a special Campaign Honour attached their armies profile to represent their participation, these Campaign Honours can be used by groups and clubs to give that army a small ongoing benefit, like a single non IC model gaining a Master Crafted Bolter, based on the fluff of the Campaign. To help personalise these major events and to provide a token/keepsake we have also orgnised with various suppliers to be able to have custom Dog Tags made for Campaigns with the Loyalist and Traitor emblems engraved on them along with a brief description of the Campaign stamped into them. A Note on Influence Points

The decision was made to lock influence at a certain level to ensure that points were accumulated consistantly across the globe. One country may play a certain way which would result in a lot more 'in-game' points then others which would skew the tallies, whereas having a single consistent format for points will allow for wins to count towards the same amount. For local Campaigns we can organise a different method if you prefer, like the influence actually being the winning score but that places a LOT of empahsis on individual games. Someone who gets a lucky game and scores a crazy high win may be able to lose the following five games but still be winning the planet, however if that is a method you like then we can do that.
