Combat Summary
Having crushed a Night Lord force en route, the Imperial Fist armoured company Iter Lateribus Luteis attacks the inner defences of the Mannerheim Triangle. The Mechanicum forces includes a Cerastus Knight-Atropos, Secutarii Hoplites, Castellax, Ordinator Arch-magos and some Adsecularii, hiding behind void shields, barricades, promethium relays and tank traps.
Unfortunately for the Sons of Dorn, the Land Raiders never reached the fortifications, or even came within range of the incendiary projectors. Worse, the position the surviving Astartes eventually occupied was calculated in advance by the Magi of the Cohort Cygnis-Gamma-8.
On a more positive note, the Knight took a bad hit, stumbled over the tank traps, and added itself to the pile of flaming wreckage occupying most of the approach to the mines.
