Battle Summary

While the Conqueror lead the assault on Dogan station the remainder of the world eaters fleet dispersed into fast attack reaving packs. one of these packs was set under the direct command of Kharns equary Aric Lesh a rising star with in the world eaters legion and one of the few remaining with in the legion with out the psyco surgery of the butchers nails. Assaul Centurian Lesh lead a boarding action on the dark angels flagship Implacable Resolve targeting the engines, gun batteries, and its warp drives. the world eaters were to insert via storm bird gunship through the main hangers and advanced down secondary passaes to their objectives. additionally red butchers and rampager packs were sent in via assault claws to kill as many of the enemy as possible, to act as line breakers, and to draw the enemy away from mission critical locations. though many of the claws were shot down more than enough reached the dark angels ship and thus the stormbird carrying the main force entered the ship unmolested. Knowing that they had little time the world eaters quickly engaged the dark angels defenders who though stubborn to the end eventually fell under the tide of blood that was the world eaters. one by one world eaters assault teams reached their objectives disabling fire control and sabotaging the engines forcing them to a full burn. with the preliminary objectives completed the world eater pressed on in force towards the warp drives though the dark angels fought valiantly bringing down many world eaters and even felling ancient Drakos it wasn't enough to stop their enraged assault. one by one dark angels squads fell and one by one their defense began to crumple. in a magnificent duel Aric Lesh defeated the dark angels champion Telemachus. with the remaining dark angels defenders scattered forge lord Karik began sending the warp drive into a catastrophic overload. with that the world eaters begrudgingly pulled back and retreated hurding teams of red butchers like cattle back to their assault claws and to the stormbird alike. the world eaters were just bale to get away and back to their waiting destroyer pack before the ship still traveling at full burn towards the retreating loyalist fleet detonated in fantastic display of warp light and unreality. detonating the warp drives had one unexpected result; despite destroying many of the retreating loyalist ships it created a momentary slip in reality, through this gap poured new reinforcements as if watching and waiting for this slip. a word bearers flotilla accompanied by great swooping demonic beasts poured free of the remains of the implacable resolve heading straight towards the surface of Kug' Arkal.
