Battle Summary
After the withdrawal of the Death Guard troops the Iron Tenth received reports of traitors in Imperial Fist disguise attacking loyalist forces. The delegatus Hohlkopf send his attack bikes west to make contact with the Imperial Fists situated there to make contact as vox traffic to allied contingents was down as usual. The bikes came under fire immediately from a contemptor dreadnought. Eisen ordered his troops to the left and garthered his unit of Gorgon terminators to follow him into the fight. The thudd guns and the sicaran opened fire on the infantry surrounding the first of two traitor cybots. Eisen cursed inwardly trying to squeeze between a building taken by his heavy bolter squad and the Sicaran tank that had rolled up to open fire on the traitor forces. Why had the tank not anticipated that Eisen and the terminators needed the space to get close to the enemy...it was so hard to excel in leadership with unimaginative units like that. On the left flank squad vanadium had overtaken the remaining attack bike to slug it out with taitor tactical marines that were transported in an Rhino APC as well. Brother sergeant Copper was a bit irritated by the fire of the opponent out of their Rhino as his squad was specialised in close combat fighting and somewhat missing their bolters while standing out in the oppent. He chose the obvious solution and left the tacticals without targets as squad vanadium charged one of the Techmarines with servitors. After a number of servitors dropped the traitor marines joined the fray. The Sicaran and the Proteus Land Raider managed to destroy one cybot each when a jet appeared and took pot shots at the Sicaran and destroyed the pintle mounted bolter. The Iron Hand bolters reacted by opening fire on the plane but even the precise hits on the slowly circling plane could not penetrate or were avoided by the evasive maneuvers while it fired on the Sicaran again destroying the valiant tank. Eisen had to halt his squad as a rhino appeared behind the Iron Tenth spilling out Seaker Marines that engulfed the tudd guns in plasma fire. One crew man fell from the artillery piece. Before the Seakers could consolidate the Gorgon Terminators charged into the newcomers and Eisen killed the sergeant in personal combat. Eisen was getting confused when a drop pod appeared and a praetor with entourage fired at his unit. 2 Terminators succumed to plasma wounds as well as 3 traitors felled by their overheating weapons. Before Eisen could give any orders the traitors fled!
