AUS30K Event Dog Tags
As part of the initial proposal of the AUS30K project there was a effort to create a national tournament circuit of events, while this idea was sidelined an element of that idea was maintained; custom engraved dog tags to be used as event tokens. Dono1979 decided to pursue the idea and work out costing with the outcome being that the Tags were popular enough to pursue as an idea for the community at large rather than reserved for a set of tournaments which may not occur. The only way to keep the costs of such tags low enough to make them feasible however was to order and produce them in bulk, 500 tags, 250 of each faction emblem were ordered and are now available for Tournament Organiser and clubs interested in using them as Tokens.
The Tags were engraved with one of two symbols; either the Eye of Horus for the Traitors or the Palatine Aquila for the Loyalists. They are then available for embossing (10 minimum, 5 of each design) with the events/clubs preferred text. Some events are using the original idea of incorporating a Battle Honour into their event which carries over to other events using the system, a very small bonus for fluff purposes, for example a single Character gaining a Master Crafted bolter. Something in line with what the event was about and trying to achieve mission wise.
The text is only limited to the number of character; 15 character per line, with 5 lines available.
The Tags are available to anyone interested and costs AU$5 per tag (min 10), this includes domestic postage for Australian orders. International orders have so far been US$5 per tag including tracked international postage.
Please note that these tags are a not-for-profit project for the community, the cost of the tags is intended to cover the initial outlay which has already been incurred by Dono1979, any profit which is made from the Tags sales will be put towards the purchase of the second batch.
