It is true that hundreds of Baroda's Knights flocked to Markan Hrotham's banner when signed himself to the Warmaster, and damned themselves and House Makabius for all time. It is further true that all had reason to fear, when the Death Guard arrived to collect that debt. But a few among them found a savage joy in service to Mortarion, when it gave them a chance to face the Imperial Fists.

This lust for revenge dates back to 860.M30, when Terra's compliance fleets first found Baroda. The Legio Crucius Templari is a sub faction of Legio Crucius, the Warmongers Titan Legion. Formed after the founding of the minor Forge World, Cerberus, and the close bonds which formed between the Imperial Fists based in the area (the Kildrech Crusade), the local Knight House (House Kildare) and the Mechanicus forces; the sub Legio is an oath bound unit which always serves alongside the Imperial Fist forces based in the Kildrech System.
