The blood boiled and hissed off the edge of Ferox's power glaive as he withdrew it from the filthy Xeno's corpse. He could feel the dual pounding of his twin hearts. His blood rushing through his superhuman veins. The throb of the nails biting deep into his brain. The blessed released of incarnate violence already disappearing. They were getting worse. Each time he gave in, it was harder to come back. I wonder, does Angron and Kharn feel like this? Shaking his head to clear his mind of such petty thoughts, Ferox surveyed the scene around him. A space port, shattered and burned to ruin. Burning Land Raider hulls, destroyed Drop pods, a dead Leviathan that had toppled over into a building and dragged it down around himself, and a strange Xenos gun platform network all lay burning around him mixed in with the bodies of his World Eaters, and the brothers of the XIII who had shown up finally to help. Victory. Costly. But a victory none the less. It did not matter that the casualty count was high. What mattered was that the Station would now not be reinforced, giving the Death Guard that much more of an edge for when they attacked it. "Red Mist, come in, this is Ferox. Stand by to receive Vox traffic. Over." he voxed to the ship in space. "This is Red Mist command. Send traffic. Over." came the Vox officers reply. "We have managed to catch, and destroy a large Xenos force at their space port. Send word back to Kharn. This is much larger than we anticipated. More reinforcements must be sent to the sector. Over." Said Ferox "Roger that. Interrogative: Shall I attempt contact the Warmaster? Over." "Yes... Tell him to send in as much as he can spare. Things are only just beginning here."
