Forgeworld. Ariana was a loyalist Forgeworld until the onset of the Herey. Ariana is currently in a state of rebellion and a contested Warzone.
Ariana was Forge World founded during The Age Of Strife by one of the Ark Exploratory Fleets launched from Mars. It was rediscovered In 893.M30 By The 60th Expeditionary Fleet, I Legion and was quickly brought into the fold of the Imperium and incorporated as a full Forge World Of The Mechanicum.
During the early Great Crusade Ariana produced arms, armaments, and sophisticated cogitation systems for the Crusade Effort and to neighboring systems in the D43 Sub-Sector. By the late Crusade and into the Opening days of the galactic rebellion knows as the Horus Heresy, the majority of the population on Ariana were employed in support to the War effort. During The years between rediscovery and the outbreak of civil war, Ariana’s population dad been “re-settled” By menials and indentured servants from neighboring Worlds. They provided mostly unskilled labor for the Forges, and were not full acolytes of the Cult Mechanicum. They were nonetheless recognized as citizens of the Imperium of Man. With more time came small mercantile trade houses, established and in part seeded by Rogue Traders that were establishing a supply network and logistics to the burgeoning Imperium. Early Edifices of the great Administratum, as well as a Large Solar Auxilia garrison that reported directly to The Lord Governor General, Rather Than The Cult Of Tech Priests. In This Way The Power Base Of Ariana Was Split.

Upon Learning Of The Massacres In The Istvann System And The Rebellion Of Forgeworld Principal And Fabricator General, Kel Bor Hal, The High Priests Of Ariana Declared Session From The Imperium – Believing The Time Right To Throw Off The Shackles Of The Emperor And Take Back Their Autonomy. The Only Obstacle Was The Lord Governor General And The Solar Auxilia Regiment Garrisoned On The Plants. Civil War Was The Inevitable Outcome.

After Civil War Erupted Across Ariana, The Secessionist Priests Were Denied A Quick Victory Over The Forces Still Loyal To Terra. The Red Priests Sought Alliances With The Traitors Forces, Newly Arrived In The System To Crush The Remnants Of Resistance. It Was Only By The Smallest Of Margins That Those Citizens Still Loyal To The Imperium Were Able To Hold On. Without The Intervention Of Legios Invicta And Vindictus And The Knights Of House Cadmus The Planet Would Have Been Lost Shortly After The Rebellion.
Through The Sacrifice Of Many, Including God Engines Of Invicta And Vindictus The Imperial Governor And Remaining Solar Auxilia Were Saved From Total Annihilation. A Beach Head Was Established Around Command Post Delta, Within The Boundary Of Erestes Hive. Having Secured Erestes Hive He Loyalist Forces Were Able To Land More Titans And Knights. The Combined Forces Of The Legios And Knight Houses Marshalled Their Strength To Walk On Ariana Forge!
