History

The ruins that lie, partially submerged in the fetid swamps that cover the planet’s landmass, mark this deathworld as a former Eldar ‘maiden world’. Eldar ruins dot the several large continents on the planet and rest beneath her poisonous seas. Contact with the Eldar corsair band known as the Star Spectres, who are known to maintain bases somewhere in the asteroid fields that drift outward from Ghoststar IIs moon, by Rogue Trader Violet Storm and noted Thorian Inquisitor Aurellian of the Ordo Xenos has revealed that the maiden world was destroyed by ‘the Great Enemy’ of the Eldar and that, according to the corsairs, the enemy’s presence remains. Unconfirmed reports of manufactorums bearing the markings of the lost Viridian Consuls Astartes chapter and the Legio Vulcanum have leant credence to these claims. What is certain is a sizeable population of orks has begun colonising the northernmost continent after a Kill Krusier was crippled and crashed onto the planet several decades ago. The whole of the continent has begun a process of fungal terraforming common to the orkoid species. Running battles between the orks and the Star Spectre Corsairs have been observed, at times involving identified elements of [Records sealed by Inquisitorial edict].
