Description
Heavy cloud cover allows little light to filter through to Hadal’s surface. Days are gray, rainy, and subdued at best, while the nights are so dark that it becomes impossible to see without special adaptations or technology. Strong geo-thermal activity provides enough heat, trapped by the clouds, to allow unaugmented humans to exist on the surface, but the population is relatively small. On Hadal the dead vastly outnumber the living. For thousands of years the well-to-do of the Umbral Stars buried their dead in the shadowy valleys and weed-choked hilltops of Hadal. Now dark tombs and silent mausoleums cover the planet, carefully tended by the serfs of House Phantasma. Umbral Forge Tech-priests are often seen combing the tomb fields and rolling graveyards for the raw materials they use in necrocrafting. Undead Necrotek-Horrors also stalk the endless graves and night-hawthorn copses, searching for living prey.
