History
An Auxilia unit from the hiveworld of Sporsa, specializing in siege work and field engineering, that had the misfortune to be attached to the IVth Legion. Not only did they have to face the contempt Perturabo's troops hold for all human soldiers, they were forced to compete in the very field that the Iron Warriors excelled in. This, of course, had a corrosive effect on unit morale, which contributed to an appalling number of failures in the battlefield.
It seems unlikely that the battalion survived the Second Golloch campaign, given the known propensities of the Primarch when faced with the failure of his troops under his command.
