History: Founded in the late 29th century, the MDCLXVIIth Expeditionary Force ventured far into the dark places lost to Old Night. The 1667th carved its way through the Warp to find systems which had battled their way through the Dark Age of Technology, guarded by powerful technology and stout hearts. These worlds were only too happy to find that they were not alone in the dark universe, and enthusiastically joined the Crusade to restore humanity’s ascendancy over the stars. Their weapons and brave troops have become the hallmark of the 1667th.

Their entry to the Bharteth system was rocky, and several quick repelling actions were required after a warp translation went particularly poorly, resulting in a battering that cost 12% of the regiment's manpower and materiel. They fought off traitor World Eaters and Death Guard simultaneously, both of which left horrifying casualties; an Aeldari strike force that penetrated their secure brig through a webway gate, leaving stacked corpses in their wake; and even a confusing attack from the mighty and respected First Legion, which withdrew after a punishing 22-minute boarding action led by dreadnoughts, without any further communication or explanation.

Force Commander Elias Promonas has done a serviceable job rallying his battered troops and continuing towards Bharteth Primus.
