The Kaloran System is the most far flung in the Helix Cluster, a harsh frontier in a frontier subsector. This far out, humanity strives to merely survive in an uncaring universe. Wars and rumors of wars are a distant thing, as are the promises of help from the embattled Hegemony.

Kaloran would have little significance to the war engulfing the subsector if it wasn’t for the megatons of food supplies it sends to the core worlds. A single bulk freighter from Oligos can supply an army for months. And it is this basic resource that gives it a small, but important part to play in the war.

Although it may be far from the front, war has come to Kaloran none the less. With the sudden appearance of the space hulk Heart of Damnation, the whole system is under threat of invasion from the hordes of greenskins onboard.

To make things worse, a small chaos fleet has been detected entering the system. While the Disciples of the Dark Gods need to eat as much as anyone, it is much more likely they have an interest in the ancient Xenos ruins scattered across the various planets.

With no support coming from Defos, Kaloran must fend for itself against the forces which threaten to destroy the system.
