Legio I

Legio Name:

The Dark Angels Legion

Chapter of the Dark Custodians

One of the Terran chapters, frequently employed during the early phases of the Great Crusade. Shattered and reconstructed after the Rangdan Xenocides. Replenished with many recruits from the new homeworld of Caliban.

Mainly committed to tactical assault-warfare, their way of war is one combining the use of arcane Terran weapon-technology with the martial code of the Calibanite knightly orders. Another striking aspect is the extended support of heavy cybernetic walkers, allowing the former heroes of the chapter to continue their oath-sworn service. Visually the appearance of the chapter is grim, functional but proudly ornate, wearing the many signs and badges of both ancient Terran and Calibanite origin so typical of their secretive legion.

Notable actions:

The scouring of the North Pacific Underhives (Unification wars of Terra) The Rangdan Xenocides (Great Crusade) Assault on the Mekton Yards: Thramas Crusade (Age of Darkness)

Current state and missions in the Age of Heresy:

The 23:rd leads the Strikeforce Interfector, assigned to counter threats to the gains of the Great Crusade, punishing heretic/non-compliant worlds and eradicating xenos-threats in the northern and eastern fringes of the galaxy.

Known Chapter Staff:

Aethor Makno: Grand Master of the 5:th Order. Calibanite. Reached his position by exemplary leadership and honed close combat-prowess. Leads from the front, greatsword in hand.

Gyrus: Master of Centurion-rank, frequently acting as Delegatus. Terran veteran and advisor. Wearing artificed wargear of the early crusade-era.

Brighal the Red: Custodian of Rites (chaplain).

Merlayn: Epistolary, newly reinstated Librarian by the Primarchs command.
