History
The Brotherhood of the Summer Lightning has a proud and noble heritage, with many of the brotherhood being outliers of the hunt across the stars in the Great Crusade, like the Golden Berkut's on Chogoris, even before the Legion was united with their Khan. The experiences of the Great Crusade has honed and sharpened the brotherhood with superlative warriors, none greater than the Lord of Summer Lightning himself, Jubal Khan, Ahz-ezen, Master of the Hunt, Death that comes with Laughter.
Born on Terra, Jubal Khan, even after his rise to Ahn-ezen, Master of the Hunt by Jaghatai Khan, leads the Brotherhood with his hunters heart and youthful soul and in return, the Brotherhood lives life like every day was there last, honing their skill with the blade in the practice cages or pushing their steeds to their limit and beyond at every available opportunity to honour the legion, the Khan and themselves. When Jaghatai first saw his sons in battle, he immediately noticed the natural hunter within Jubal, who had a quickness that tricked the eye, skill with the blade beyond comprehension and a soul that laughed in Deaths face, and gave him the title of Khan and his own Brotherhood to honour his impressive tally of victories.
