History
The Heralds of Ruin where once and advance force deployed to locate and Initiate forgotten worlds into Imperial Compliance. Known as the Heralds of the Storm, they bought many worlds into the Imperium with a surprisingly large number of the peacefully.
The Heralds underwent a severe change with the death of Ferrus, razing worlds and obliterating anyone that challenged them. In a bid to keep his forces fully functional, Iron Father Jheyrhos Karlsson has unearthed secrets best forgotten. Having recovered large caches of advanced technology from secret vaults, the Heralds continue to bring worlds into Compliance - usually after wrecking the world before even asking. They have destroyed planets utterly for the crime of ever having had the Emperors Children land.
There is little that has been able to slow down their rampage across the Galaxy, and at best they have only been able to be redirected.
