History
The World Eaters 16th Company comprises three hundred Space Marines at full strenght and operates from a battlebarge known as The Merciless, after which the company itself was shortly named. They are specialised in Zone Mortalis and Ship Boarding missions. Their commander is Tiberius Thanatos, a Terran-born veteran who saw the very beginning of the Great Crusade and fought on every front he could. Some say his father was one of the last tecno-barbarian chiefs to be cast into submission by the Emperor, his promising son taken into the ranks of the Legiones Astartes as a forced tribute. Should this be true, then his admiration for his Primarch Angron would be of little surpise, for they shared a similar fate: being forced to fight for an Emperor they did not believe in, nor love. This was confirmed at the outbreak of the Heresy, when Tiberius and most of his Merciless sided with Horus and slaughtered their very brothers with woeful savagery.
