History
Katon Gralghorux surveyed his men, a dominant force which echoed their time together on Barbarus, bonds forged in a slave gang under the boot of harsh masters ruling from on high. Their armor was tarnished with superficial blemishes, yet oddly cleansed in the alien rain on a recent compliance. Like his force, they were indomitable and tenacious, ready to deliver death to any enemy foolish enough to stand in their way. Katon had lost three vehicles and his company was much diminished from artillery fire given from rebels on that last mission. But it mattered not, for they had finally received a communique they have been eagerly awaiting for what seemed like years.
Mortarion, the Reaper, had summoned them. His call reached out to select legionaries--those forged in the poisonous death clouds of Barbarus--to come stand at his side for mission most important. Their secrecy was guaranteed and upon reaching the system, Kato and his warriors could sense a great opportunity on the planet below to show the rest of the legions how the Death Guard ruthlessly yet efficiently make war. He softly whispered, infused with a latent growl, the name of his primarch and ordered the descent.
