History

What can be said of the 18th? Dredged up from the lowest dungeons of Cthonia, The gang-empire of the Scythec was one of the most ruthless and bloodthirsty of the ever warring factions, known throughout Cthonia for collecting the severed heads of their fallen foes, believing them to hold great power and fortune. After Horus slew their chieftains in the arena of bones they all bent the knee to the demi god and swore eternal fealty to the Primarch. When the Emperor came to Cthonia and raised Horus up to the heavens the Scythec followed their master and the bounty of warriors was so prolific they became almost the entirety of the 18th Grand Company. If that day the Emperor could have only just foreseen the devastation and fury this group of murderous scum would one day unleash upon the Imperium he could have smote them from existence.

Once they transitioned into Astartes the Scythec warriors melded the cold calculating Imperial training with their innate savagery and truly one of Horus's most feared weapons was forged
