| − | + | The 5th company of the Vakrah Jal chapter of the Word Bearers was formed shortly after the legion set sail for the 500 worlds in the days following the Dropsite Massacre of Isstvan V. As with the entire chapter the legionaries were pulled together from broken and leaderless chapters of the legion, the 5th was given to Captain Kor Darrasius formerly of the Star of Judgment chapter. Darrasius had been on the left flank of the Serrated Suns chapter and was able to witness the change and charge of the original Gal Vorbak. Seeing devotion made manifest and the raw savagery of the Gal Vorbak Darrasius raised his axe high and ran in after them. Charging and hitting hard into Raven Guard lines he and his men soon found themselves cut off as they could not keep pace with blessed sons however they would take many Ravens with that day. Darrasius and his chaplain Anphaerus Nux were found back to barley alive and slick with gore when the fighting cleared, the only two left alive in a sea of corpses. As they recovered they received two honored visitors the first was from the High Chaplain Erebus offering the two a place in the ranks of the new Gal Vorbak, to which they both agreed. The second was from Argel-Tal the legendary leader of the Gal Vorbak and master of the Serrated Suns, he was the one to tell them of the devastation of their company and chapter. He offered them a new company into his new chapter of the Vakrah Jal and to lead the new breed of the Gal Vorbak with in the chapter. Both accepted the honor and swore their allegiance to the chapter and legion before him that day. | |
