Leto is an airless barren rock covered in craters and little else. The only thing of note is the mass of communications and sensor equipment scattered all over it.

Population

The only settlement on Leto is the communications station buried deep underground. This station monitors comms traffic for the entire system as well as scanning the system for hostiles. A couple of hundred crew keep the stations systems operational.

History

When Castus Thar settled Corabie he had a station built on Leto so he could scan the Nemisis Spiral without atmospheric interference.

The main focus of the facility was to search for viable star systems to explore. After the initial expansion into the spiral it fell into disuse and was mothballed. Over the centuries various planetary governors have had reason to restore it for use as a system monitoring station.

On a few occasions adepts from the Mechanicus have petitioned to use it for their own observations, and some traces of their occupation can still be seen. In the last few years Leto has seen a surge of activity as the planetary government has become increasingly fearful of attack. Hundreds of tech adepts have been shipped in and teams work around the clock to bring as much of the station's many systems to full operation as they can.
