Population
Maestea has always been a smaller and less advanced than its nearest neighbor of Elgurn. With only 842 000 residents they have always looked to its larger neighbor for leadership, support and protection. For its part Elgurn has allowed them to develop at their own pace with many from Elgurn moving to Maestea for a simpler life. With no seas and a fairly barren flat land residents live in small communities other then the capital Broven with only population of 125 000. Broven is a place for trade and services for the planet. Humans from Mestea arrived in the system before those on Elgurn and a clearly from a different gene seed and not often interbreed so this difference is still visible today.
History
Pre-Compliance
As a low tech less advanced world Maestea were advised by Elgurn but free to form their own government.
Compliance
Maestea followed the lead and advice of Elgurn in accepting compliance. Elgurn even petitioned for them to be more or left allowed to develop on their own as they had always allowed them to do.
Post Compliance
Other then than some minor changes for compliance the only difference to the planet is the patrols of form the Imperial Fist located on near by Iaethea.
