Description

Necropolis is hot and humid, with vast stretches of marsh land and shallow seas. Much of the livable land is covered in tropical and deciduous forest. The remainder is under cultivation by peasantry or devoted to the construction and maintenance of Knight armors. A large percentage of its exports to Umbra Major consist of rice, crustaceans, tobacco, and tea. The planet is the feudal seat of the Duchy of Gaistaz. Unlike many Knight worlds, the tradition of Necropolis does not restrict knighthood to males. The current planetary feudal lord is Lady Charlotte von Gaistaz, herself a talented Knight pilot.

Tumulus is the airless satellite of Necropolis. The surface is dry and dead as a rule, with dusty plains and rocky craters forming a drab, gray landscape. The moon is not completely uninhabited, however. Several of the deeper craters have been domed over and adapted for agricultural or industrial endeavors. There are very few unmodified, living humans on Tumulus. Most of the population consists of mindless undead servitors and Necrotek menials.
