New Phase of the Global Heresy: Orks!!

With the fine tuning of the recent upgrades complete I have been able to progress the Global Heresy out of Beta testing and into the first official Phase, the target system; Kaloran!
In brief the Global Heresy is a function of the website which allows players from all across the world to take part in a combined event through the battles which they play in everyday games. While some players are lucky enough to have well established groups running campaigns and other events, most players may not have that ability and the Global Heresy allows their games to count towards a worldwide total. Each phase of the event will focus on a single system which will normally contain between two and four planets or battlegrounds, each location will have recomended game conditions to help keep with the fluff, but these are optional. Any games you play can then be registered towards one of these location as either a Skirmish Report, or for more influence and a chance to win a prize (more on this below!), you could enter a more detailed Battlereport with a fluff write up and photos.
The results of your games will then add influece for your faction to that planet which will go towards its eventual conquest for either Loyalist, Traitor and now Orks! The Orks are one of the most prolific Xenos races still in existance throughout the Imperium during the Great Crusade and Heresy and while they currently don't have any official rules in any of the Horus Heresy books, there are a growing number of people playing with them against 30K players. In fact latter on in April (11th/12th) there is going to be a Global event called the Kaloran Crusade which is a dedicated Ork vs Legion format held in a number of location across the Globe. I am hoping to have the Ork Army Profile option created in the coming week which will allow players to create different clans and suchlike, all fighting towards the creation of an Ork Empire, this is the first step in introducing Xenos races into the website, a planned expansion into this area is tentatively planned for the end of the year.
So what was this about Prize I hear you say?
Well to encourage the use of both the Global Heresy, the Battle Reports and the new Voting functionality I have decided to offer up a prize for the most voted Battle Report lodged up until the end of this current Phase which will end on May 31st, this includes all Battle Reports lodged to date! Voting will then continue for another 2 weeks after that and I will then tally the votes and contact the winner and organise for their prize to be dispatched to them. As to what the prize is? There are a couple of options at this point depending on a number of factors, it could be an Event Only Model from Forge World, a copy of one of the Horus Heresy Books or even a Heresy model, as the prizes are secured I will let people know and the winner will hopefully get a choose from a number of options!
Over the coming weeks there will be a restructure of the front page and it will incorporate the inclusion of players Battle Reports in a similar fashion to the way there is an Army Spotlight to review people Army Profiles (which you should also be sure to look through and vote on!!!). In addition there are now a couple of links floating around in the report sections to take users to an archive of all of the Battle Reports submitted to date and those which are submitted during Phase 1, please go here to take a look at the list and start having a read, make some comments to help the author and, of course, vote.
