Savage: Horus Heresy Campaign 2015

Welcome to 2015!
This year we will be launching a new style of event based around the campaign system found in the Horus Heresy Book IV: Conquest. Starting in February there be a formal 30K event every second month with each event being a phase in a 6 part campaign with the results and territories held being carried over from one even to the next with the entire thing tracked and published on the www.aus30k.com website.
Each event will have players nominating to play on either the Traitors or Loyalists and then each team nominating a Warmaster to guide their forces for the day. Their will be a campaign map which will expand and evolve as the campaign conitnues allowing the Warmasters to invade and attempt to conquer territories to spread their zone of control or to capture vital locations.
There will be small bonuses for the team which control certain areas, and players will have the oppurtunity to advance their Praetor/Centurion through the campaign with upgrades and traits. While the events themselves are linked, there is no requirements to attend all of them, players can come one, some or all of the events and can even change sides and armies.
Here are the proposed dates for the 2015 event series:
Feb 28 - Stage 1 of the Campaign: 2,000pts (three games)

STAGE ONE:
Welcome to the first stage of the Savage: Horus Heresy campaign event series for 2015.
These events will be geared around the campaign setting and rules published in Book IV of the Horus Heresy series with a number of small adaptations. Each event will represent three phases of the Campaign, however players are not required to attend all of the events, however the more events they do attend, the more influnece they will have of the outcome and the more experienced their Leaders may become.
Each event will have even team split into Loyalist and Traitors, with a single Warmaster selected from amongst each group. The Warmaster will be in charge of controling the strategic movements and who attacks and defends, whether they do these with consultation of their team or with an iron fist will be up to them!
Campaign:
This event will be played on the world of Savage in the Savage Reach of the AUS30K.com website. For players familiar with the Campaign please indicate your faction preferences if you have one, for players new to the Campaign please follow the link above if you are interested in knowing more.
Format:
Games will be played between armies of up to 2,000pts, these armies can be formed from any of the currently published books (I-IV) using all available alternate Force Organisation Charts found in Books I-III except for Leviathan. Each phase the team Warmasters will alternate selecting a territory to invade and a player to invade it, with the opposing Warmaster selecting a player to oppose them. Once all of the players have been paired away the games will begin, having two hours to complete them. Some territories will be limited to less than 2,000pts and may play on diverse tables from City Fight, Zone Mortalis, open plains etc.
Registration:
Registration to this event is VITAL! There must be even teams and so this is a first registered, first in situation. When you register you must nominate either Loyalist, Traitor or Undecided (meaning you are happy playing on either), your name will then be added to registered list, but unless there are enough opposing players, you may not get a spot. Registration are required by 9pm Sunday the 15th of Febraury

Cost:
The event will be $25 per person and can be paid in advance or on the day at Three D6.
