Savage Campaign - Planetary Defense HQ
Summary
While there are many ground based defense installations scattered throughout the city and even across the planet, they are all, to a limited extent, tied into the central defense network which is managed here. Control of the numerous admin towers and command bunkers controlling the servo nodes and augury uplinks would give an invading force significant power over orbital insertion and even aerial supremacy to a limited extent.
Recognising this and being overly cautious, the defenders of Savage built a number of redundancies into the network as well as phantom bunkers which contained no external connections but were instead used as decoys and traps. Any attempt to secure this district will be a long and protracted battle indeed.
Effects
Strategic Victory Points: 2 SVP per Phase
Global: While a faction has this location secured, all friendly armies may roll a D6 at the start of their games, on a 4+ their opponents must reroll any successful Reserve rolls for Deep Striking units.
Local: When attacking this location all units arriving via Deep Strike add 1D6 to their scatter and +1 to any Deep Strike Mishap rolls to represent the orbital defense laser targeting their incoming forces.
