History
Scandus Prime is a Hive World in the Imperium of Man's Beneheventian Sub-Sector, and a major producer of munitions for the Imperialis Militia. Scandus Prime's great forges produce Lasguns, Autoguns, Shotguns and Bolters, among other weapons. The planet also levies huge numbers of troops for the Imperialis Militia (most notably the regiments of the Scandus Prime Ostriuclan Cohort), as well as other crucial supplies. Scandus Prime is one of the worlds from which the Emperors Children recruits new Neophytes, often from the vicious criminal gangs of the planet's hive cities. The IIIrd Legion maintains a Recruitment-Keep on the world in one of its hive clusters. Scandus Prime is typical of most large Imperial Hive Worlds, in that the lower portions of its hive cites are rife with powerful gangs.
