Battle Summary

+++ OPEN FILE +++ +++ SECURITY LEVEL: APLHA-EOH-5 +++ +++ LOCATION: DOGON STATION, KUG'ARKAL, HARKARIALIS SYSTEM+++ +++ REPORT BEGINS +++

As night settled on the mining world of Kug'Arkal, so the atmospheric controls of Dogon Station automatically began the orbital's evening-time sequence. The overhead illumination-arrays began to dim, recreating a semblance of night on the artifial platform.

Using the dark to their advantage, Hersir Grimnir gathered his troops, marshalling his forces and re-diecting them for a new mission. Having been reinforced recently had given Grimnir new weoponry to utilise - flame units - and he fuly intended to make best use of them whilst the Mechanicum foe gathered the resources they had fought over in previous days.

Through the gloom the two armies amassed; the traitor robots on one side of the darkening docking bay, amassing the plundered resources gained in the previous encounter. On the other side, the loyalist forces gathered their might. As the darkness descended, the Squat Guard opened fire with everything in their arsenal and two units of tracked automata disappeared in the blink of an augmented occular unit. The traitors returned fire, but the doughty sons of the Imperium stood firm, taking nothing but minor flesh wounds. With their subsequent salvoes, the Squats continued to bombard the traitors again and again, eviscerating the flesh-and-bones footsoldiers and annihilating the robotic automata that accompanied them.

Through the night the battle raged; many times the initiative swung from one side to the other as both forces clung desperately on to control the docking bay, but as the automated illumination-arrays brought an artificial dawn to Dogon Station, one side stood tall in victory.

Hersir Grimnir stepped into the light from behind the twisted wreck of a cargo-hauler. Around him, not a single Mechanicum traitor remained standing. The Squats were victorious in gaining control of the docking bay, allowing safe passage to more of the reinforcing loyalist forces amassed in high-atmosphere orbit around Kug'Arkal.
