Battle Summary
The Assault captain Zufor having been ever on the verge of madness and always indulging his butchers nails was unable to resist the temptation of assaulting the planet Kug'Arkal early. Zufor prepped his ground assault assets with one order: drown them in blood. with that his strike cruiser the Unbroken unleashed a full drop assault.as drop pods filed with half sane world eaters plummeted towards the surface the strike cruiser disgorged storm eagles and fire raptors. in his hast to drop zufor made one critical mistake, he rushed his assault and so many of his forces were scattered. though they were scattered enough mad it to mining installation 0195. a demi-company of marines with dreadnought support, a unit of cataphractii armored terminators, and one of the fire raptors made it into this engagement zone. though on high alert due to the traitor presence in orbit the loyalists army was slow to react to the sudden strike of the world eaters. for many of the army this was their first time holding a las rifle. right upon landing the world eaters unleashed a torrent of fire cutting down loyalist troops whose armour did nothing to stop the hundreds of mass-reactives flying at the. Ancient Varin lead his dreadnought brothers in burning the troops to ash, and wading through a see of corpses. thought the initial landing was successful the loyalist mustered quickly and rushed their armour into positions to stem the incoming tide of world eaters. alas it wasn't meant to be as zufor and his cataphracti teleported into the heart of the army enemy tanks unleashed salvo after salvo into the terminators killing a few and even killing many of their own men in their hast. additionally ancient Rillion was brought down by a heavy support unit and battle tanks rushed forward killing many world eaters. by then it was to late though; zufor was in the hear tof the enemy cutting them away one after the next with his chain fists, the tide of world eaters smashed into the units of the imperial army slaughtering them wholesale though too late to be of much use a fire raptor finally zeroed in on the traitors locator indents but it was promptly shot down by one of the few remaining loyalist heavy support teams. squad by squad the world eaters bled the loyalists dry fulfilling Zufors only command to drown the mining installation in blood. with the defeat of the imperial army the world eaters continued their frenzied charge into the installation 0195 slaughtering any that they found alive with in. such did Zufors true decent into chaos truly begin.
