History
Mariah’s Landing is where the first human colonists are recorded as setting foot in the Cerulean Shoals. From that ancient time, the planet slowly grew in population and prosperity until it became the center of culture and influence for the surrounding systems. When The Umbral Forge began aggressively expanding into the region, Mariah’s Landing naturally attracted the Magos’ covetous eyes. The old histories tell of how the worlds of the Cerulean Shoals fought back against the forces of Umbra, until only Mariah’s Landing remained unconquered. However, their dreams of independence were dashed forever when the Titans of Legio Revenantus made planetfall on the outskirts of First Landing*. The world has been the seat of the Dukes of Edgemore, one of the greatest of the noble houses of Umbra, ever since.
