Description

Viriditas is green world of continent-spanning woodlands. The forest types change based on latitude, from tropical jungles to deciduous forests and northern conifer expanses. Much of the planet is wilderness area with virtually no human activity, though past Explorators and have reported sightings of ancient ruins and isolated human tribes living in the deep forest. Faroe PDF and the Childriss Imperial Guard establishment maintain isolated jungle and woodland training centers, but even these are nearly swallowed by the planetary forest.
Advanced (that is to say, Imperial) human settlement on the surface is primarily located on the eastern fringes of the the single major continent. These settlements are centered around large timber plantations and their associated industries: lumber milling, rubber processing, engineered wood manufacture, and, in the tropical latitudes, pharmaceuticals extraction.
